Professional Haulage Services Across Teesdale and County Durham
For over 65 years, our fleet has been delivering quarry stone, aggregates, and specialist materials across Teesdale and the North East. We simplify the complex process of ordering from major quarries, handle emergency deliveries, and provide the reliable haulage service that local farms, builders, and businesses depend on daily.

Specialist Materials
Our FARs registration allows us to transport materials for both animal and human consumption, meeting strict health and safety standards. This certification also means our drivers are trained for safe city centre deliveries, meeting bronze-level compliance for urban access.
Emergency and Flexible Delivery Service
Same-Day Delivery When Possible
Got an urgent job that needs materials today? Call us. If we have trucks available and can arrange quarry collection, we'll do our best to get materials to you the same day.
This flexibility has kept local contractors and farmers working for decades. While we can't always promise same-day service, we'll be honest about what's possible and do everything we can to help.
Contract and One-Off Deliveries
Contract Customers
We're the main haulier for Breeding Aggregates and other major suppliers. Long-term contracts help us plan capacity and offer competitive rates for regular customers. If you need reliable, ongoing deliveries, let's discuss a contract arrangement.
One-Off Loads
Need materials for a single project? No problem. We handle everything from small domestic jobs to large commercial deliveries. Same professional service whether you need one load or a hundred.
Agricultural Support
Local farmers have relied on us since 1958 for feed deliveries, building materials, and specialist transport. Our FARs registration means we handle materials for both animal consumption and human food production safely and legally.
Our Fleet and Drivers
Around 12 experienced drivers operate our modern fleet across Teesdale and the North East. Our drivers know the local roads, understand the challenges of rural deliveries, and take pride in professional service.
Fleet Maintenance
Every truck is serviced on a six-weekly schedule. We maintain strict safety standards, carry full insurance coverage, and hold all required certifications for the materials we transport.
Safe Discharge
Our experienced drivers understand site access requirements and discharge safely whether delivering to a tight domestic property in Barnard Castle or a major construction site in Newcastle.
Working with Local Quarries
We maintain strong partnerships with major quarries across the region:
Breeding Aggregates (High Force)
We're one of their main hauliers, handling regular contract deliveries and building a relationship that spans decades.
Tees Valley Suppliers
We work with tar plants and quarries across Teesside, giving customers access to a wide range of materials and suppliers.
Local Teesdale Quarries
Direct relationships with local extraction sites mean quick access to materials and competitive pricing.

Why Our Base Matters
Located in Cotherstone since 1958, we know every back road, understand rural access challenges, and can navigate Teesdale's terrain reliably. That local knowledge gets your materials delivered on time, even to remote locations.
FARs Registration: What It Means for You
We hold bronze-level FARs (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) registration. This certification means:
City Access Compliance
Our drivers are trained to operate safely in urban areas. We can deliver directly into city centres while meeting strict safety and environmental standards. This matters when your project is in Durham, Newcastle, or other urban locations.
Safety Standards
FARs registration requires driver training on vulnerable road users, safe urban driving, and health and safety compliance. It's not just a certificate - it's a demonstrated commitment to safe operations.
Animal and Human Consumption Materials
Our registration allows us to transport grain, feed, and materials for both animal and human consumption, meeting required health and safety standards for food-grade transport.
Our Approach to Customer Relationships
Who We Work With
We prefer working with local people and businesses we know or who come recommended. After 65 years, we've learned that good relationships make successful deliveries.
Selective About New Customers
We're cautious with unknown companies, especially those asking for credit. Recent experience taught us why - a company we'd supplied for 15 years through another client suddenly contacted us directly, we sent three loads, then they went into insolvency owing us money.
This selective approach protects our business and means we can offer better service to established customers.
Supporting Local Business
When someone from Barnard Castle rings needing materials, we'll give them a chance even if we don't know them personally. Local support goes both ways in Teesdale.
